letter from a doctor about patients with chronic diseases

I think I posted this before, but, ran across the article again. It did not hurt for me to reread it.

When I did a search in the message boards, I could not find the post, if I did.

Sorry, if it is a repeat for you. It is on page 12 of the magazine if it does not pull up to that page.

How disappinting! My MS Doc is human? He is not God although I was nearly convenienced of it because nearly everyone seems to worship him.

Q: What's the difference between God and a doctor?

      A: God knows he's not a doctor.

      thanks for the link.

              again

In chat tonight we had a discussion about how doctors react.

This reminded me of this post, and, I read it again.

Interesting article. If I have learned anything about anthing over the last 25yrs of having MS ...

Drs are not the definitive answer, they "practice" medicine.

Although this article almost makes me feel sorry for my neuro., I would trade places with him any day! I doubt he would say the same (I would also guess those big fat salaries our docs get take at least some of that sting away!).

Despite my snarkyness, I am truly grateful for doctors who specialize in MS over something more "rewarding".

                          have to relive

I am sorry if this offends some. But, I was reminded of this today.

I, too, am like Twanda. I would trade places with them in a heartbeat. But, to be limited on what I can do for my patient(s) would be so disappointing. Thankfully, as a nurse I have not been in this situation that I can remember.

And, when we have to see someone else in the practice, when our regulars are not available. I almost want to cringe for them having to sort out all the details of our often complex cases.

What a great article! I wonder how many doctors feel the same as he does. He gets it, he understands and I bet he is wonderful doctor.

                              Thanks for the article.
