    MS and excercises

Over the years I've lost muscle even though I workout. My arms still are in good shape but my legs are getting thinner and weaker.

    Can we not build muscle?

    Thanks,
    Trixie

You may want to work with a personal trainer, or a physical therapist (even better). Ask your doc about your trouble maintaining muscle mass even though exercising.

    Good luck

I exercise nearly every day. People ask me how I do it. It's simple - If I don't do it, not only do I get depressed (exercise keeps it at bay), but my limbs begin to feel heavy again.

Give it a try if you haven't. There are thought to be neuro-protective aspects to exercise as well. And men, it's always good to have some muscles, to feel more manly as well as increase testosterone.
