    Disability Etiquette

Found this great PDF from The United Spinal Association that deals with educating others on etiquette.

Read through and share with your family and friends.

Forgot to mention that it deals with all types. I learned a lot!

This booklet is great! Thanks, Misslux!

Wouldn't be nice if it was mandatory reading for everyone?

It definitely should be mandatory reading! I was really impressed at how comprehensive the document is.

I generally think I am pretty good with this stuff but learned so much and identified areas that I need to be more conscious of that I didn't even think about before (e.g., people who are Deaf and people with speech difficulties are two that come to mind).

I sent it around to a few family members who do mean well, but tend to create scenarios that are unsafe for me or encroach on my personal space or make me uneasy.
