    Flare question

Has a flare ever affected just a finger? I don't know if it even would be classified as a flare. But since the first part of February I have had super intense burning and at some times where I was barely able to use my middle finger on my right hand.
Also, my spasticity has cranked up a lot. Really uncomfortable. Increased baclophen to more than double the normal dose and have only found relief 2 or 3 times.

Since all this started I have had a few other things dizzy and cog fog, weak shaky legs, dizziness come and go. But right now the finger has stopped and all that is hanging in is the spasticity.

    Anybody?
Would that even be considered a flare?

    Hi cali1892,

I personally would not consider it an exacerbation, for myself. However, you are not me

If you are concerned please contact your Neurologist.

I'm just the opposite. I tend to believe that any unusual symptom could be MS. Since MS affects the brain, and our brains control everything, it is a possibility. Of course, I also don't assume that. Other things need to be ruled out first.

      - Dx with RRMS in OCT03, following 21 months of limbo, ruling out lots of other dx, and some "probable stroke" and "probable CNS" dx for awhile.
      - In 2008, I was back in limbo briefly, then re-dx w/ MS: JUL08

        Hi Cali1892,

Sounds like this might be a relapse, although that doesn't necessarily mean it has to be treated with steroids. Here are some links for you:

I recommend talking to your neurologist.

        Take care,
