has anyone used this product in their shower and if so is it soft enough for feet (carpety feeling like they say in the commercials) being that i have the sensitive feet issue because of nerves.

Yes, and I can give them a positive review. They are soft, and they do stop you slipping, thanks to the suction caps. Saved me more than once.
You might want two (mine were two for the price of one anyway) one for in the shower, and one for the bathroom floor outside the shower.
Only thing, don't believe the 'no mould ever' claim. Nothing that sun and bleach won't fix, though. -
