Central Wisconsin, but moved to Florida when I was 5. I'm skeptical about the prevalence of MS and living north of the equator. I know people who have lived in Florida their entire lives, born and raised, and have MS.
I grew up close to the equator in Asia. However I spent high school and beyond in the Mid-Atlantic corridor.
After a childhood of blistering sunburns and a ridiculous amount of sun exposure, in deference to my skin cancer risk, I spent the first 20 years of my adulthood slathering on sunscreen daily and wearing hats and long-sleeves.
Not sure where I fall, but some say if you move out of a high-sun region while still a teenager, you reverse the protection.
