    Vicodin and Vertigo

It seems to me that Vicodin makes my vertigo better (not as dizzy). Why would that be?

Vicodin like Valium, is a CNS depressant. Therefore it quiets down your brain, or an area of your brain that causes dizziness(either your brainstem or your cerebellum). This suppresses the dizziness and you feel better temporarily. However, since you can't take Vicodin forever, I recommend you ask for a low dose Valium or other benzo to stop your dizziness or keep it at a low level.

    Take care
