      Hlawman, (woman?)
      Hello,
I hope you are having a great night. I have heard there is a great MS doctor in Cullman. I am in the Birmingham area and am waiting to get in and see Dr. Riser, who everyone raves about.
It sounds like you have an amazing doctor and I hope the clinical trials are successful.
I am scared and feel so lost right now and am so close to giving up.

I am also from Alabama and was recently diagnosed. I'm not sure what part if AL you are located in but I have been seeing a MS specialist in Cullman, who is highly recommended. His sole purpose for becoming a doctor was to find a cure for MS because his mother died from MS complications when he was 12. He is currently doing miraculous things with clinical trials. He is going to put me in one once I get stabilized on betaseron. Just wanted to let you know, sometimes having a doctor with such a passion to help makes the struggle a little easier.

        Sicilian,
I am so sorry for your recent diagnosis. It sounds like we received the bad news around the same time.
        How are you holding up?

          LOCORABBIT- Angry in Alabama

Be thankful, embrace this disease don't fight it! Easy for me to say, I'm just a Mom, a Mom living with her "forever my baby" 19 year old daughter, dx with MS.

There is no room for anger although I know that this is a normal part of the "process" I'm sure. But be angry, get it all out and then embrace it!

You can, you will live with this disease. You will love and be loved. You will walk, run, dance and do all of the things you did before!

I am not some crunchy yoga obsessed mind over matter person but a realist. You can't choose, you can't give it back so accept it and live your life to the fullest!

I will NOT stand by and watch my daughter be the victim, I support her and all of the individuals LIVING with this disease. I tell you, be victorious in combatting the symptoms and embrace each gift you receive because of this experience!

I pray things get better for you soon and I am hopeful that your treatments help you to maintain an excellent quality of life and a happy life! YOU CAN DO THIS!
