    Good Heavens Moolk!

Surprising your doctor didn't tell you where to go for the JCV index test.

Don't know where you live but here in the midwest Quest Diagnostics does the test you seek. Well, actually they draw the blood and I believe Forest Labs does the testing.

The test is called “Stratify JCV Antibody with Reflex to Inhibition Assay” and costs a little over $1400. Biogen must pick up the tab because I've not heard of anyone being billed; nor their insurance.

So if your doctor writes the script take it to Quest Diagnostics or somewhere that knows the precise test you want.

I would guess almost any lab could send the blood sample to Forest Labs if they knew enough to do so. Quest Diagnostics does. Good luck!

MYOAK, YOU ARE CORRECT. THE DRUG COMPANY PAYS FOR IT AND IT GOES THROUGH QUEST LABS.

MY NUERO SET IT ALL UP FOR ME THROUGH THE DRUG REP THAT WORKS WITH THEM. I WENT TO MY NUERO OFFICE WHERE THEY TOOK THE BLOOD AND THEY SENT IT TO THE LAB.
THEY HAD MY RESULTS BACK IN A WEEK.

I just got a new test back and the neuro says my number has gone up to 3.04.

I get infusion #68 on Tuesday.

I don't want to switch as long as it keeps working as well as it has.

          titer number

I have been off of Ty for about 2 years. I was on Ty for 73 months. My titer numbers were always in the .40 to .50 range. I was on Gilenya for 1 year. Had to stop due to low lymph counts. Now I'm on Tec. Most recent CBC had a low lymph count. Neuro ordered a JCV titer.
It came back at .31. My specialist didn't want Ty until I tried the pills.
Maybe now I can get back on Ty.
I did exceptionally well on Ty, no relapses.
Are there any studies about restarting Ty?

PML risk videos from Biogen based on JC virus...

            Hi all,

I've read through this thread and have been debating for the last 5 minutes if the information I am going to share should be included in this thread or a new one started. I think it is kind of "nice" to have everything together when reading through threads, so I am going to post here.

I just came across 2 videos that I thought were worthwhile to share.

            They are at this link:

            http://stratifyjcv.com/us/stratifyjcv_videos

One is called, "An Overview of PML" and the presenter is Robert J. Fox, MD, FAAN, Staff Neurologist and Medical Director, Cleveland Clinic Mellen Center for MS, Cleveland, OH.

The second one is called, "Testing for anti-JCV Antibodies" and the presenter is:
Bhupendra O. Khatri, MD, Medical Director, Regional MS Center at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI.

I was looking for more details on the Stratify Test and came across them.

Related to previous discussion, I 'believe' that Quest has somewhat of an exclusive deal with Biogen on the blood draw/specimen collection aspect of the test.
            RRMS Dx: 3/23/15
(Optic Neuritis Dx 2/27/15; Feb/2014 right leg numbness--at the time diagnosed as Sciatica, but probably first episode)
            Started Tysabri 5/22/15: (Infusions: 5/22/15, 6/18/15, 7/16/15)
