    thats my story

My name is Joe I'm 34 years old. I live in NY and work as an elevator constructor. I was diagnosed with ms a little over a year ago. My wife and I have a beautiful18 month old little girl.
After my second trip to the hospital with spasms, and the third orthopedic back specialists telling me nothing was wrong I was very confused. Then came the loss of motor skills in my leg,and of course the numbness and tingling. Doctors still say I'm ok. When the vertigo started thats when I changed doctors and bingo an MRI of the brain a trip to the neurologist later and welcome to the world of MS.
This site is exactly what I needed. Feels good to tell my story to people who understand..

Hi Joe and welcome. Right after getting diagnosed can be a stressful time as it all sinks in. But a lot of people have your back here and understand. come back often. Take care Dale

              Hey Joe...

I found that living with MS is a journey of discovery. I have found some things that work and others that dont. There is lots of good information that comes through this forum and some will help you others wont. It is an obvious case of biology and chemistry.

Life is not over, just different. I live in Canada though am always looking around the world for something positive or even experimental. If I find a miracle, I will share it here.

              Best of Luck!

Welcome Joe. It's amazing just how big and small the MS world can be --- all at the same time. (BTW, my oldest daughter is your age.). I was diagnosed when I was 29 in 1989. My kids were 10 & 8.
