When I switched from Adderal to Provigil, I didn't notice any difference at all between the two--they both did the same thing for energy. I've been on Provigil for quite awhile though, and I wonder if I'd notice a difference if I took the other Rx. Does anybody have experience going the other way--switching from Provigil to Adderal or Ritalin? The Provigil works fine, but with all the hoops to jump through for insurance and the like--not to mention the cost--I'm wondering if the cheaper Rx would work as well.

I switched from Provigil to Ritalin for a few months. I was trying to avoid the frequent headaches I seem to get with Provigil. The Ritalin worked pretty well, I just got tired of having to pick up a prescription every month at the office, plus I had to increase my visits to the neuro to every 3 months.
I went back to Provigil, and take a one day break a week which seem to help with it's effectiveness.
