    Yes. It started as a cancer treatment drug and has been FDA approved for rheumatoid arthritis and a couple of other conditions. It's used off label for other autoimmune conditions, including neuromyelitis optica, lupus, Sjogren's and MS.

    Some of the studies have shown good, though not spectacular, results for MS. If you're considering using Rituxan, you should read as much about it and its track record with SPMS as you can. The prescribing information contains a PML warning.

      Thanks for the info. I saw my MS neuro last week and he suggested it, saying it had good results with MS, but I'm wondering about SPMS....I didn't think about asking him that question until after I left his office I will try to find whatever I can to read about it...thanks again
