    Inability rather than disability

I was talking to a bloke with Parkinson's about our various problems. He said, 'I don't look at myself and say I have a disability. I say I have an inability to do certain things. I have an inability to run, an inability to walk down stairs, etc, but I have plenty of abilities. Disabled is too sweeping a statement for me.'
Given he had a lot of trouble walking and speaking, it made me think. He introduced himself by saying, 'I'm not drunk, I got Parkinson's and he was quite 'pleased' when I told him I had MS.
He's built a car from scratch, and is driving around Australia.
