Question for those in the Knoxville, TN area

Hi fellow Knoxvillians. I'm thinking of finding a new neurologist and was just wondering which doctor (not to be confused with "witch doctor") you see, and your experience with him or her.

I currently see Dr. Sybil Wray at Hope Neurology, though I've actually seen her NP, Shellie, a lot more than Dr. Wray herself. She stays so busy that I can usually only get an appointment with her once a year, if then.

    Thanks,

    Lisa

Cut aspartame from my diet in 2012 and my symptoms have slowly disappeared. Interesting!
Alpha Lipoic Acid (200 mg) + Acetyl L-carnitine (1,000 mg) = No more fatigue for me!

I'm not much help. I live about an hour south of Knoxville. I tried Dr. Wray's office, but while I was impressed with Dr. Wray, I wasn't impressed with the office. They never called to give me results on blood work, and they should have since my numbers were THROUGH the roof.

Anyway, I go to Dr. Moses at Vanderbilt twice a year (who I like), and I see another neuro in Chatt., but I am not in love with her.

    Sorry!

Hey Shashi girl!! Now I know nothing about Knoxville area, but listen to Melody. Maybe its too far, but a 2nd opinion may be in order.

You know your experience is so much like mine. I DO feel you will get answers..something!! Hang in there. In fact you have been great in coping IMHO.

I see Dr Crawford who is across from Dr. Wray. I have been pleased with her so far, there is also Dr. Randall Trudell at UT, I use to work with him and he and Dr. Crawford use to be in together. They are both very good. I think I have Dr. Trudell's # I definately have Dr. Crawford's let me know if you need them. Good luck.

I saw Dr. Kabbani a few times for my official diagnosis..
I believe he is still with Park West hospital...
He's not a MS specialist though he does attend & speak at some MS functions...
I've had better doctors but I've also had many who were worse.

Thanks for asking this Lisa.... I live in Fountain City and as soon as I get insurance back I'm going to look for another Neuro as well.

I've heard great things about Dr. Wray but if you can't really see "her" I understand 100% why you'd like to change.

I hope you find a good one and pass that name on to me... <giggling>

              GOD Bless

You all are making me homesick. Powell, Fountain City, hmmm. Good luck in finding a good neuro and I am taking notes in the hopes that someday I'll get to move back to K-town.

Jen, I just made an appointment to see Dr. Trudell. It only took me 8 months to get it done! LOL!!

I was going to see Dr. Wiseman, who someone else recently suggested, but the girl who made my appointment said that Dr. Trudell is the MS specialist at that office, so I decided to go with him. I hope this works out. It's so difficult to find a new doctor. I think I have trust issues!

                  Thanks for the recommendation.
