    Trying to Decide Myself

Wow, so much good info on this thread! It seems that a lot of people maxed out on the oral - me too, at 80mg a day. It worked SO great at first . Then came two years of excruciating pain while the docs tried to figure it out.

I have the MS hug, but only on my left flank. For eight years it has been a giant charlie horse - terribly tight deep inside, causing me to bend over to the left. Plus the skin has burning and bee stings sensations. One specialist said it's because of my Transverse Myelitis. I have a lesion T3-6 as well as the MS brain lesions.

Botox injections did nothing, Zanaflex strangely enough makes me jittery. Gabapentin helps with the skin sensations. I'm taking medical cannabis now for the cramping, mostly food but sometimes inhaling. It messes up my cognition, but the pain is down from and 8-9-10 every day to about a 3-4-5.

After reading here, I'm wondering if the implant would help with that specific area of spasticity. I do get the flexor spasms in my legs, but not as bad as in the beginning. However, if I got the implant, I'm guessing I wouldn't get those at all, which would be nice. Mostly though, I just want the terrible cramping in my side to go away!!! And I want to be able to think clearly! Anyone know if it would help with that?
