Tysabri and colds are getting TERRIBLE!

I've been on Tysabri for almost 4 years now and the colds that I've been getting are a lot different than when I wasn't on it.

First of all every time that I get a cold now my jaws get inflamed and I can't open my mouth wide open. Which is extremely painful and annoying! Second of all it takes me literally about a week to heal from a stupid cold now, it's ridiculous. Than I get like other complications, for some reason my eyeball is infected as well and my knee and elbow were inflamed as well the first 2 days.

I got sick this Tuesday in the evening all of a sudden like BAM and I was shocked at how fast it had progressed in such a short time. It's Friday now and I still don't feel better, I was literally crying yesterday because I felt so ****** and missing classes because of this.

Does anyone else have the same experience? That like getting such a small thing as a cold turns into so many complications and takes such a long time to heal from? Usually I'd be pretty much healed after 3 days, but here I am still losing liters of snot lol and trying to breath and sleep normally urgh.

I have had multiple respiratory infections and sinus infections. In June, wound up in ER. The slightest congestion and O wind up needing prednisone to help clear. I seem to be on an every other month schedule and wind up missing Ty due to steroids.

I know how you feel, the lingering cough finally goes away after 6 weeks, just in time to get sick again. LindainColorado answers a few of my posts, indicating she takes extra vitamin C and E. I am going to give it a try.

    Hope you feel better.
