what makes you think that chemo will help? I am in if it works. I am also sick and tired of all of it and willing to do anything to just be a bit more like my old self.

Have you given thought to Tysabri first ?

I have a friend who had Novantrone some years ago, loved it and swears by it but, it only lasted a couple of years. You can only have so many treatments and then if you do Tysabri you have that against you.

      Good luck !!

            Chemotherapy

Hi, back in 2007-2008 I had chemotherapy treatment. The drug was called Novantone (sp), the only side effect I had was early menopause. It isn't like other chemos where you lose your hair or sickness. The gave me something before hand so I wouldn't get sick. No problems at all with it. If your doctor is recommending it, go for it.

              Chemo

Hi Sam! I did Cytoxan. 39 infusions in total. Two induction courses ( five doses in eight days) the rest monthly. Lost my hair with both induction but it came back during monthly. I also got IVSM with each dose of Cytoxan.Side effects- Oy! Nausea- not bad- the docs gave me meds to handle it. The side effects from IVSM were more bothersome. In spite all this, I am still progressing. Didn't help the pain at all. Seemed to make the depression worse. Cy was my last option. Jen
