    Tests say no....I say maybe?

    Hi, I'm a newbie.

I've had some symptoms of MS - slights tremors, random vibrations, buzzing and tingling, short-lived numbness in random area, and shaky vision.

Now, my head feels heavy on the right when I walk.

A few months ago, I had a back and brain MRI which showed nothing.

I was told to get more sleep and that I'm in the clear.

However, am I in the sub-clinical phase?
Everything came on strong before, though, and yet nothing showed in all sorts of tests.

Hello Ajohnny07 and welcome to MSWorld.

There are no symptoms that are unique to MS. Many conditions/illnesses and medications can cause Neurological type symptoms.

Blood work can rule in/out many of the other conditions/illnesses that can cause symptoms such as you are experiencing.

If you take any prescription medications it would be a good idea to research the side effects. A good place to start is:

Since you had a brain and spine MRI I would assume you are seeing a Neurologist. The neuro exam can give information which can be helpful in determining a problem, if any.

If there was no abnormal finding during your exam, you have clear MRIs (brain, spine) it would be unlikely your symptoms are caused by MS.

If you haven't seen an Opthamologist for your shaky vision you may want to do so.

I am glad to hear that you are seeking out medical treatment and advice. Since you were advised to get more sleep, I hope you are doing that. I would also suggest that you get your vitamin D and B-12 levels tested. There are so many mimics of MS, don't be too quick to 'self' diagnose yourself. Good luck
