HI ,I have had RRMS for 12 years with few flares, but the year there has been a lot of life changes for me and I have seen my MS worsen .Yesterday I started having pain on the top of my thigh and hip on my good leg and today I can hardly walk or sit I haven't fallen or twisted myself it just came on yesterday. Does this sound like a flare?

Possibly indirectly. You could be putting too much pressure on your good leg and it is causing pain. Try using a cane or walking stick for a few days to get the weight off the good leg...see if that helps.Katie

that is a great answer from KatieAgain. Back when I was hobbling around, I could not figure out why one knee and one hip constantly hurt. The doctor told me that it was because my stronger side was trying to make everything the same, and that is why I hurt on that side.
While I cannot answer as to whether or not it is a flare, it is some thing that you should point out to your doctor. I hope you are all better soon.hunterd/HuntOP/Dave

Well not everything is MS..though it "could" be.
The sciatic nerve is largest one to come out of the lower spine, across the hip and down the leg. Maybe you injured your spine?
I would get an exam by neuro or chiropractor or orthopedic. Since I have both ortho issues AND spasiticy which both cause pain/spasms.. I go to Ortho first, then they say if its orthopedic or neuro.
Get it checked out. Sometimes an exam helps them to know if its coming from the spine.
Good luck, hope you feel better.
