    Hi!

Hello. I'm a 36 year old married mother of two (a 17 year old daughter and a 3 year old son). I was diagnosed with RRMS in September of 2008.
On top of the MS, I also suffer from a myriad of orthopedic issues. I've had a lumbar fusion on 2 levels (2 years ago), an SI fusion (iFuse) on my right side (less than a year ago), and am scheduled to go in for a traditional SI fusion this Thursday, also on the right because the last fusion failed (at some point I need a fusion on the left, too). I was also recently diagnosed with bursitis/arthritis in my right hip and patellofemoral arthritis in both of my knees.
    So...suffice it to say, I'm a mess.
I was a healthy 31 year old when I was diagnosed with MS and it's pretty much been downhill ever since. I try to keep my head up, but with all that's been thrown at me, it gets difficult. I think people who don't have MS just can't know what it's like, so I hope to find a different kind of support in these forums.

    Hi Limpy doo

Welcome! love your 'name' ...you have more than your share of maladies

Are you on any meds for your MS?..and taking care of a 3 yr old how's that going? I babysit my 4 yr old granddaughter full time and I'm tired, but happy .

Hope you get some relief with your next procedure.

    Welcome and take care

Hi limpy-doo and Welcome to MSWorld! I like your name too . You're right in that you will both receive (and likewise give ) a lot of support here as we all understand what it's really like to live with this disease. And wow! it sounds like you could use a big dose of support right now!

I'm so sorry you are having a rough time of it~ Will you be hospitalized for this procedure? Please let us know how it goes when you feel up for it. I'll be thinking of you and here's a extra special (((Hug)))

Hang in there and take care!

I'm on Avonex, Baclofen, Neurontin and just started Cymbalta for MS and related symptoms. When I was first diagnosed, I was on Copaxone.
Taking care of my toddler can get difficult, luckily I have a lot of support and help from family. I certainly couldn't manage without a village

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Hi, I am 37 but I feel 87! What does bursitis of your hips feel like? At night I wake up and my hip hurts on the side I have been laying so I am always have to switch sides. When I saw your post it made me wonder if that could be it. Oh, and welcome!!

Hello! I feel ya on the feeling so much older than you actually are.
As for the bursitis, it's a stabbing pain at my hip and then it kind of radiates down to the front of my thigh. And yes, laying down on that side is very uncomfortable.
