    Xanax and Zanaflex

I was recenty rx 10mg zanaflex to help with muscle problems I have due to my MS. I also take 1mg xanax both at bedtime. I have yet to take both of them together because I am concerned with what the interaction with the two may be. I do take them separately but I make sure there are taken 4 hours apart.

Does anyone here have any experience with these two drugs together or am I just being overly concerned?

Since both meds have sedative affects you do need to be careful taking them at the same time. I hope your doctor took the time to go over possible interactions, especially when adding a new med.

There are several good web sites that analyze your specific possible drug interactions. You just list all your Rx and OTC meds and they do all the work. I use the interaction checker on drugs.com, you can even list alcohol if you have a glass of wine now and then.

This is just the type of thing that your pharmacist is for ! They could be more likely than your doctor to know of interactions between meds.
