Infection problems

I was in the hospital with a bad infection. Almost died from it. It caused by some abscesses form a common bacteria found on everyones skin. I don't remember the name of it. When I was in rehab they told my it happen because I'm rebif and it weakens my immune system, so it something I have to deal with as long as I'm on interferons.
I am doing well on rebif and I really don't want to change my MS therapy.
Does any one have problems with infections with their MS meds?

I got a sinus infection the first week of Dec. and was on antibiotics for 6 weeks and am still having fever issues even when I was off Rebif for 6 weeks. I do pulse steroids every 6 weeks and it is the lowest dose and wanted neuro to increase it as it is like it just seems to help but neuro said no because of the steroids and Rebif and is worried about White Blood Count.

Have an appt with a PCP tomarrow and to get blood work done to see if I still have any kind of infection. It does always take a long time to clear up my sinus infections.
