Light Relief for Pain and Muscle Spasms

Has anyone heard of a device called Light Relief Infrared Pain Relief?? I saw it on a infomercial this morning.

Light Relief uses infrared light emitting diodes (LEDs) to direct a powerful stream of warm therapeutic light deep into tissues, increasing circulation to target areas and relieving aches, pains and stiffness in muscles and joints. Light Relief increases blood flow to sore tissues.

Let me know if anyone have used this or heard of this device. I am thinking about buying one for tension knots/muscles spasms in my neck/shoulders but don't want to waste my money.

I may stick with my ativan, massages and Biofreeze )

I just did a quick Internet search for Light Relief, and found very mixed results ranging from the company's promos to accusations that LR is a scam.

Basically, LR is just a far infrared spectrum device. The main difference among these devices is quality of construction; other than that, they all operate similarly.

Here's an article from the LA Times on Light Relief:

Honestly, I wouldn't buy anything I saw on an infomercial...especially not a medical device.

    Sorry to disappoint you!

I appreciate your feedback.. you did not disappoint me :-)

The linked article was a mix review.

The surgeon, Lanzafame - stated he never used the device but stated it is unlikely that it will provide pain relief. My thing is if you haven't tried it, how can you say whether it works or not. I looked at the reviews on Amazon.. 57 (5) stars and about 35 (1) star..

Still not sure if I will order it or not.

Thanks again for your reply... very much appreciated.
