    Does the burning ever stop?

Copaxone users, you know this burns after injection, Im just wondering if it ever quits? I know at injection time that it will take about 10-15 mns for it to stop but the pain at the injection site takes a few days to calm down, for me at least. I have tried the heat and ice paks and its not working. Even tried doing the shot after a shower, as another user suggested, and that didnt work either. Any ideas, or is this just the one thing that wont quit....

    Copaxone

It never stopped for me, but I was only on it for 3 months before having a severe reaction. I'm on Betaseron now, but wish you a lot of luck! I know with Betaseron, they said the further in the needle goes, the least likely for a reaction.

      hi pj

I am going on 5 weeks of copax and found that I get the bee sting still, but only lasts about 5 mins for me. Depends on where I inject...those places with more fatty tissue (hips ) I don't get it at all!!

I noticed this week I was feeling more of the burn (bee sting?) as I tried to move around spots...

Sometimes I just go "oooouch" afterwards, other times I just carry on. I do my shots right after my shower in the morning.

You may want to ask SS if they have any ideas like icing, etc.

Compared to the flu like sx I have heard and read about here, I'm sticking with copax.

        Hi PJ

In my expereince, the burning lessened over time. If i remember right, the burning went away for me after a few months.

Give it some time. I have been on C for just over 3 months, and it does seem to be abating. Then again, some days are worse than others. Using the ice pack on and off for about 20 minutes afterwards seems to help.
          Hope it gets better!

I have been on Copaxone about 6 months. It still burns EVERY time, no matter where I give my shot.

I hope that this will get better for both of us!!

            Good luck!
