GOALS:  The goals of this program are to increase the understanding of oral health care and how it impacts people with MS and strategies to improve overall oral health. Specifically to (1) define dental treatment principles that promote an interdisciplinary approach to successful dental care management; (2) describe the impact of MS medications on oral health; (3) identify therapeutic strategies to manage MS symptoms like mobility, spasticity and swallowing deficits; and (4) discuss preventive strategies that can aid in good oral hygiene for people with MS.
