RIP to our Trivia Loving Friend. You will be sorely missed! Friday nights will be never be the same with out you!
Hello Everyone
I was born and raised in Kokomo, Indiana. I was part of a very large family. 5 brothers and 4 sisters. I got my hosting nickname from a nickname my grandfather gave me. As the middle child, most all my clothes were hand me downs. So he always told me i looked like a ragdoll. So I choose it to be my hosting name.
It seems like as a child I was always sickly and clumsy. My dream was to become a physical therapist. But due to finances that never became a reality. Instead I hired in to General Motors right after graduating in 1964.I retired from there at about age 35 due to disability. About the same time my " ailments " finally got a real name. Multiple Sclerosis. After three years and a ton of setbacks, my neurologist suggested I move to a warmer climate. So in 1986 we bought two acres in Florida and two months later, my children and I found ourselves living in Florida.
Back in 1971 God blessed me with a son, Jeremy. He has given me four grand daughters, Meagen, Alexus, Julianna Margaret and Alaina. Then in 1973 God blessed me with a daughter Jennifer in 1973. She and her husband Carl, has given me one grand daughter Katie. Also have several step children and a few others I helped raise at one time or another.
Here in Florida I was a guardian ad litem for kids in court, here for fifteen years.
One day my life insurance agent was here collecting the premiums . His wife also has MS. He mentioned she had found a website for people with MS. And she was always laughing and having fun there. He got me the website, I dropped in and never left. It was MS World. I was hooked immediately.
Not long after I joined MS World, I was asked to join staff. I was shocked and honored. It wasn't long the friday night host left MS World. They asked me to take over friday night game night.
I wanted a game everyone could play , and decided to try trivia. It became an instant success. Over the years i have collected many many trivia games, books etc to glean questions from. To this day I still collect them. I have enough ahead for several more years worth of trivia nights. I am always looking to add more.
I look forward to many years with MS World. I am very proud to serve in all the areas I do. I am very proud to be a part of MS World and all it does. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for MS World and all our members.
So look out, you never know you may end up being a question for trivia night.
Love to everyone.
