(see tribute below)*

He was one of a kind,
a truer friend, I couldn't find...

We'd talk about life it's true,
one we couldn't change, made us blue...

He'd try anything, thought it was a cure,
I let him try it first, that's for sure...

He was brave, but always in pain,
the more I talked with him,
I realized the pain couldn't be contained...

His wife of many years,
was always by his side...

It was to me, sometimes,
she would confide...

We all will miss his presence,
his family most of all...

But I'll always think of him,
whenever I take a fall...

Here's to you my friend,
now there's no one to tell my troubles to..

You're in a better place my friend,
one day I'll be there too...

"My Father's house has many mansions..."

*Tribute by HABMAB:

Yes, Jim is gone .... but his memory lives on.

Yes, Dan is gone, too.

MS can do that to you; but both men were courageous in their approach to life.  Both men deteriorated, and lost the battle.  Both men left behind them good thoughts.

I was leader of their self-help group a couple of years ago.
I appreciated them.  Now, my own MS is approaching the indefinable area of life.  They both taught me to appreciate today and to look forward to tomorrow.
